Someone was obviously not thinking clearly.

Minneapolis' Lowry Avenue Bridge closing has been moved up to tomorrow morning from its scheduled closing this summer.

Why is this worth writing about? Because the Star Tribune article is encouraging those who want to drive over the 100+ year old bridge before it closes to "go do it right now."

This bridge's closing date has been moved up because engineers have determined it's too unsafe to keep open any longer for a number of safety reasons including "bolts that have been sheared off."

Um, the last place I'll be driving tonight is over the Lowry Avenue Bridge.

Advising people to rush in droves to drive over an unsafe bridge strikes me as both stupid and dangerous. On the off chance that something were to happen, some litigious nut would probably hold the paper liable.

It would be interesting to see how many goofballs rush right out to do that, too!
