There's been so much talk and hype about how Obama has "brought millions of new voters into politics." While I'm a rare breed who's been interested in politics since age six (or maybe younger), I'm certainly aware that many of those in my age cohort and younger (and older) don't share that enthusiasm.
This surge in interest is a wonderful thing, but these claims of Obama's influence have got me thinking. Is it really him or is it that seven years of Bush have been so damaging and alienating that these people would've been energized by someone, anyone offering a different point of view?

Is there a correlation with the "Jesse Ventura" debacle of a few years ago? He also got lots of voters interested in the political scene. They all kind of disappeared along with his political career!!

Just a thought...but he will be one of the youngest candidates to run for president in a long time...plus he's black and has a cool name = higher voter turn-out.
well my feelings are for obahma..no way in hell will ivote for him after i read and listen to his pastors speech and his lousy excuse..about it beeing like an uncle...well i would never go to a church for 20 years beeing married by him and have my kids babtised by this racist and "loonetick".he must agree with this looser racist and horrible person since he goes there out of his free will.he lost my and my friends vote...
